Area of circular base of cylinder = πr^2

=> 154 cm^2 = πr^2

=> r^2 = 154/π

=> r^2 = 154 ÷ 22/7

=> r^2 = 154 × 7/22

=> r^2 = 7 × 7

Therefore, r = √7 × 7

= 7 cm

Radius(r) of base of cylinder = 7cm

Now, T.S.A of cylinder = 2πr(h+r)

= 2 × 22/7 × 7(8+7)

= 44 × 15

= 660 cm^2
