Area of trapezium = 1/2 (a + b) x h

Given that the area is 108 m² and the two parallel sides are 8m and 16m:

108 = 1/2 ( 8+ 16) x h

108 = 1/2 (24) x h

108 = 12 x h

h = 108 ÷ 12 = 9 m

Answer: The width between the two parallel sides is 9 m

108 = \frac{1}{2} \times (8 + 16) \times h
108 = \frac{1}{2} \times (24) \times h
216 = 24 \times h
 \frac{216}{24} = h
h = 9m

hope this helps you!!!!
