Step-by-step explanation:

use pathogen theorem

3^2+4^2=AC^2

=9+16=AC^2

=ROOT UNDER 25=AC

AC=5CM

NOW

5^2+8^2=AD^2

25+64=AD^2

AD=ROOT UNDER 89

NOW FIND THE AREA BY HERON'S FORMULA

Step-by-step explanation:

so to find area of triangle acd..we need to know measurement of AC

to do that

we know according to Pythagoras theorem

a²+b²=c²

so here AC is the hypotenuse

so 3²+4²=c²

9+16=c²

√25=c

5=c

now that we know AC

we have to do the same in ∆acd

8²+5²=AD²

64+25=AD²

√89=AD

AD=9.4

now to find the area

8+9.4/2

8.7cm²
