Answer :-

  • The altitude of the traingle = 100cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

To Find :-

  • The altitude of traingle

Solution:

Given that,

  • The area of traingle = 700cm²
  • The base of traingle = 14cm

Assumption:

  • Let us assume the altitude of traingle as (x)cm.

As we know that,

  • 1/2 × Base × Height = Area of triangle

Therefore,

  • 1/2 × 14cm × (x)cm = 700cm²

1/2 × 14 × x = 700

1 × 7 × x = 700

7 × x = 700

x = 700/7

x = 100

Hence, The altitude of traingle is 100.

Formula used:-

  • b × h = Area of triangle

Where,

  • b = Base
  • h = Height.

Correct Question :

  • Find altitude of Triangle whose area is 700cm² and base is 14cm.

 \\

Given :

  • Area of Triangle = 700cm²
  • Base of Triangle = 14cm

 \\

To Find :

  • Altitude of Triangle

 \\

Solution :

❏ As we know that, Area of Triangle is given by ½ × Base × Altitude . Now in this question Base and Area of a Triangle are given and we have to find the Altitude. So simply we will put the values in the Formula.

Putting the Values :

⟾ Area of Triangle = ½ × Base × Altitude

⟾ 700 = ½ × 14 × Altitude

⟾ 700 = 7 × Altitude

⟾ 700 / 7 = Altitude

100cm = Altitude

Thus Altitude of Triangle is 100cm
