Answer:

trisection formula = mx2+nx1/m+n , my2+ny1/m+n.

from the given points x1=-3,y1=-5 $x2= -6,y2=-8

formula = 1×(-6)+2×(-3)÷1+2 =-12÷3 = -4

formula for y point =2×(-8) +1×(-5)÷1+2 =-21÷3=-7

Answer:

ratios are : - (1:2)&(2:1)

for (1:2)

co ordinates are

(-3,-5)&(-6,-8)

1* -6 + 2 * -3/1+2 , 1*-8 + 2*-5

-6 - 6/3 , -8 - 10/1+2

-12/3 , -18/3

-4 , -6

(-4 , -6) = for ratio (1:2)

for ratio (2:1)

2 * -6 + 1 * -3/2+1 , 2* -8 + 1* -5/2+1

-12 -3/3 , -16 - 5/3

-15/3 , -21/3

(-5 , -7 )= for ratio (2:1)

hope it will help you
