L = 7.5m

B = 3m

H = 5m

LSA = 2(L+B)* H

= 2(7.5+3)*5

= 105 m^2

TSA = 2(LB+BH+LH)

TSA = 2(7.5*3+3*5+7.5*5)

TSA = 150 m^2

Given : The length, breadth and height of the cuboid are 7.5m , 3m and 5m respectively.

To find : The TSA (total surface area) and LSA (lateral surface area).

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process. (our goal is to calculate the TSA and LSA of the cuboid)

Now,

TSA (total surface area) of a cuboid = 2 × [(length × breadth) + (breadth × height) + (height × length)]

By, putting the available data in the above mentioned mathematical formula, we get -

TSA (total surface area) of the given cuboid :

= 2 × [(7.5 × 3) + (3 × 5) + (5 × 7.5)]

= 2 × (22.5 + 15 + 37.5)

= 2 × 75

= 150 cm²

And,

LSA (lateral surface area) of a cuboid = 2 × height × (length + breadth)

By, putting the available data in the above mentioned mathematical formula, we get -

LSA (lateral surface area) of the given cuboid :

= 2 × 5 × (7.5 + 3)

= 2 × 5 × 10.5

= 105 cm²

Hence, the TSA (total surface area) of the cuboid is 150 cm² and LSA (lateral surface area) of the cuboid is 105 cm².
