let the ratio be 3x and 5x
if 8 us adder to both then the no. will be 3x+8 & 5x+8
the above two are equal to ratio 2:3
ATGC.
3x+8:5x+8=2:3
3x+8/5x+8=2/3
By cross multiplication
3 (3x+8)=2 (5x+8)
9x+24=10x+16
10x-9x=24-16
x=8
Hence th numbers are
3x=3×8=24
5x=5×8=40
if 8 us adder to both then the no. will be 3x+8 & 5x+8
the above two are equal to ratio 2:3

Let the numbers be 3x and 5x....... Acc. To Ques. ====>>3x + 8 / 5x +8 = 2:3 or 2/3 .......... Now cross-multiply, 3(3x+8) = 2(5x+8)..... 9x+24 = 10x+16......... 24-16 = 10x-9x....... 8 = x........ Now put the value of x..... 3x= 3×8=24...... 5x=5×8=40......... So the two numbers are 24 and 40....
