let one side be x than other will be 8x

now .,

area = 1/2(x+8x)0.1m²

1.6m² =1/2(9x)0.1

1.6 = 0.9x/2

0.8 = 0.9x

x = 0.8/0.9 = 0.88..m

therefore one side will be 0.88×100 = 88.8dm

and the other will be 8x = 8(0.88×100) = 711.04dm
