Find the two parallel sides of a trapezium whose area is 1.6msq , altitude is 10 dm and one of the parallel sides is longer than the other by 8dm

h=10dm

Area I.6m2=160dm2

I-b=8dm

Area = 1/2 h (l+b)

160 =IO/2(I +b)

I+b=320 / 10 = 32

I+b=32

I-b=8, solving

2 I=40

1=40/2=20

I-b=8

2o-b=8

b = 12

The Parallel sides are2o & 12 dm
