arrangement of the units of length in ascending order :

milli meter

centi meter

deci meter

meter

deca meter

Hecta meter

kilo meter

SOLUTION:

Area of the given trapezium = 1.6 m²

Given altitude = 10 dm , dm into m = (10 / 10) m = 1m

Formula of the area of the trapezium = 1/2 × (sum of parallel sides) × altitude

let the sum of parallel sides be x

=> 1/2 × x × 1 = 1.6

=> x = 1.6×2

=> x = 3.2 m²

According to question:

Given length of the longer side = 8 dm, dm into m = (8/10) m = 0.8 m

therefore, the length of another side = (3.2m - 0.8m)

= 2.4 m

Hence, the length of the other side of the trapezium is 2.4m .
