this is a right angled isosceles triangle.

so if it's one angle is = 90°

then , x + y = 180°- 90° = 90°

though x = y , = 90°/2 = 45°

Answer:

ATQ, base and height of the triangle are equal,

so, x = y ( isosceles triangle property )

In the given triangle, x + y + 90⁰ = 180⁰( Angle Sum Property)

As x= y

x+ x = 90⁰

x = 45⁰

Thus, x = y = 45⁰
