Answer:

▪As per the pythagoras theorem,

let the side with 15cm be base and the side with 8cm be the altitude.

Then x is the hypotenuse

▪As per pythagoras theorem:

hypotenuse =  \sqrt{ {base}^{2}  +  {altitude}^{2} }

Base=15cm

Altitude =8cm

x(hypotenuse)=

 \sqrt{ {15}^{2}  +  {8}^{2} }  =  \sqrt{225 + 64}  =  \sqrt{289}  = 17

c=17cm
