Answer:

(i) 26

(ii) 100

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) By Pythagoras Theorem,

x = 3 {}^{2}  + 4 {}^{2}  \\ x = 9 + 16 \\ x = 26

(ii) By Pythagoras Theorem,

x = 6 {}^{2}  + 8 {}^{2}  \\ x = 36 + 64 \\ x = 100

Answer:

(i) x = 5

(ii) x = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

How we can find out the sides?

In any right angled triangle, All sides are Pythagoras triplets. Means sum of two small sides' square = Big side's square. It means Big side = (small side² + other side²)

In given figure (i),

small sides = 3,4

to find the big side (x)

big side = (small side² + other side²)

=> x = (3²+4²)

=> x = (9+16)

=> x = 25

=> x = 5

Hence x = 5.

other figure (ii),

small sides = 6, 8

To find the big side (x)

Big side = (small side² + other side²)

=> x = (6²+8²)

=> x = (36+64)

=> x = 100

=> x = 10

Hence the value of x = 10.

hope it helps.
