Let A,B and C be the 3 sides of the rt. angled ∆le.

Such that,

AB = 24cm

BC = 7cm

CA = x (let us assume)

Using Pythagoras Theorem,

{ab}^{2}  +  {bc}^{2}  =  {ac}^{2}

Substitute the vals.

 {24}^{2}  +  {7}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}

576 + 49 =  {x}^{2}

625 =  {x}^{2}

 \sqrt{625}  = x

25 = x

Hence, CA = 25
