Let A,B and C be the 3 sides of the rt. angled ∆le.

Such that,

AB = 24cm

BC = 7cm

CA = x (let us assume)

Using Pythagoras Theorem,

${ab}^{2} + {bc}^{2} = {ac}^{2}$

Substitute the vals.

${24}^{2} + {7}^{2} = {x}^{2}$

$576 + 49 = {x}^{2}$

$625 = {x}^{2}$

$\sqrt{625} = x$

$25 = x$

Hence, CA = 25
