Step-by-step explanation:

Question:-

Find the value of x and y in the above figures:-

Answer:-

iv) Find the value of x° and y°.

⇒In \: the \: triangle \: of \: ABC,we \: know \: that: \\ \\ Angle \: b \: = 180° - 110° = 70° \\ \\ Hence, \: we \: know \: that \: opposite \: angles \: are \: equal,then : \\ \\ Angle \: b \: = \: Angle \: c \: [ X = 110°] \\ \\ Now, \: if \: we \: know \: two \: sides \: of \: triangle,then:- \\ \\ = 70° + 70° + y° = 180° \\ =140° +y° = 180° \\ =y° = 180° - 140° \\ =y° = 40° \\ \\ ∴X° = 110° ,Y° = 40° (Ans)

vi) Find the value of x° and y°.

If,we \: extend \: the \: line \: of \: angle \: A,then \: we \: can \: find \: the \: angle \: x \: by:- \\ \\ = 180° - 40° = 140° [ Angle \: x = 140°] \\ \\ Therefore, angle \: b = 180° - 140° = 40° \\ \\ Therefore,the \: third \: angle \: :- \\ \\ = 40° + 40° + y° = 180° \\ = 80° + y° = 180° \\ = y° = 100° \\ \\ ∴X° = 140° , Y° = 100° (Ans)
