Base (B) = 9 cm

Perpendicular (P) = 12 cm

Hypotenuse (H) = x

By Pythagoras Theorem :-

(H)² = (B)²+(P)²

x² = 9²+12²

x² = 81+144

x² = 225

x = √225

x = 15 cm

The unknown side (x) is 15 cm.
