Hey friend..! here's your answer
________________________

 \frac{3y - 8}{2y + 10}  =  \frac{4}{10}

By cross Multiplication ,

30y - 80 = 8y + 40 \\  \\ 30y - 8y = 40 + 80 \\  \\ 22y = 120 \\  \\ y =  \frac{120}{22 }  \\  \\ y =  \frac{60}{11}

3y - 8/ 2y + 10 = 4/10
3y - 8 = 4 ( 2y + 10) /10
10 (3y - 8) = 8y + 40
30y - 80 = 8y + 40
30y - 8y = 40 + 80
22y = 120
y = 120/22
y = 60/11
