ii)
 = ( {2}^{ - 1}  \times  {4}^{ - 1} ) \div  {2}^{ - 2}  \\  = ( \frac{1}{8} ) +  {2}^{ - 2}  \ \\  =  \frac{1}{ {2}^{3}}  \div  {2}^{ - 2}  \\  =  {2}^{ - 3 - ( - 2)}  \\  =  {2}^{ - 3 + 2}  \\  =  {2}^{ - 1} \\  =  \frac{1}{2}
