given,P(0,2) is equidistant from R(3,k) and S(k,5).

∴ PR = PS

⇒PR²=PS²

(3-0)²+(k-2)²=(k-0)²+(5-2)² [using distance formula]

9+k²+4-4k=k²+9

⇒4=4k

∴k=4÷4

k=1

thus,value of k is 1
