Step-by-step explanation:

5^2=25 √4=2 25–2=23

8^3=64 √1=1 64–1=63

6^2=36 √16=4 36–4=32

9^2=81 √9=3 81–3=78

3^2=9 √9=3 9–3=6

3^2=9 √81=9 9–9=0

The required answer is zero.

Note that with the first number it is squaring, with the second number it is the square root and then the difference between the two.

Needless to say that negative values of square root have been avoided and as this is a logic problem one need not worry about them as long as the criterion of the logic holds good for all the given premises.
