The answer is 6.12

You just need to multiply it after removing the decimal points and then add decimal points before the number of numbers in the total decimal points.

Given:

Find the value of 1.2 × 5.1

Solution:

Multiply, 1.2 and  5.1

\[ = 1.2 \times 5.1\]

Convert decimal number into fraction then solve,

\[ = \frac{{12 \times 51}}{{10 \times 10}}\]

\[ = \frac{{612}}{{100}}\]

\[ = 6.12\]

Hence, the value of 1.2 × 5.1 is 6.12.
