ANSWER

 \frac{1}{2}

EXPLANATION:

SINCE

 \sin(45)  =  \cos(45)

THEREFORE OUR EQUATION BECOMES:

(1 +  \sin45)(1 -  \sin45)

APPLYING THE FORMULA OF

 {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2}

WE GET:

 {1}^{2}   -  ({ \sin45) }^{2}

SINCE

 \sin45 =  \frac{1}{ \sqrt{2} }

THEREFORE:

1 -  ( \frac{1}{ \sqrt{2} } ) {}^{2}

 = 1 -  \frac{1}{2}

 =  \frac{1}{2}

SO, OUR REQUIRED ANSWER IS HALF.

HOPE IT HELPS.
