The answer for the question is

According to what I’ve understood, this is how it works:

2 + 3 = 5

5 + 6 = 11

11 + 12 = 23

So if you observe, you’ll be able to see that the addend (3,6,12) has been added with itself to find the addend for the next sum. This means that we now, need to add 12 with itself and then we find the addend for the next sum. That would be,

23 + 24 = 47

The next number should be 47.

If you want, I can verify it for you.

First, take the sequence’s first two characters that are, 2 and 5. The difference between them is 3. i.e.,

5 - 2 = 3

I can also put it like this,

2 + 3 = 5

Then I take the next character in the sequence, that is, 11. Now if you find the difference between 5 and 11, it will be 6. Which I consider as,

5 + 6 = 11

Then I find out the difference between 11 and 23 i.e. 12. This is,

11 + 12 = 23

Here, I observed that the addend (the ones I have BOLD up there) have been added to themselves to get the next addend and added to the sum. The next one is 47 because,

23 + 24 = 47

The 23 here is the answer to the previous problem I’ve done. The 24 is the number I get when I add the previous problem’s addend i.e. 12. I add these two, to get the next character to this sequence. Hope it helped.
