Using the BODMAS/BIDMAS rule:

B- Brackets

O/I- Indices

D- Division

M- Multiplication

A- Addition

S- Subtraction

3 + 2 x ( 8 - 3 )

First solve the brackets: 8 - 3 = 5

3 + 2 x 5

Then do the multiplication: 2 x 5 = 10

3 + 10

Finally, do the addition: 3 + 10 = 13

Answer= 13

Hope this helps!
