Step-by-step explanation:

Given:[-3.5] + |-2.5| - signum (3.3)

To find:Find the value of expression

Solution:

There are three functions in the given expression

1) Greatest integer function [x]: It gives integer value which is smaller than the value in it.

2) Modulus function/Absolute value |x|= It gives the value of x in positive.i.e. it gives absolute value and removes the sign of number.

3) Signum Function: It has value -1 for all negative real numbers and 1 for all positive real numbers and 0 for 0

Thus, keeping the definition of all the functions find the value of individual functions

[-3.5]=-4

|-2.5|= 2.5

Signum(3.3)= 1

So,

[-3.5] + |-2.5| - signum (3.3)

= -4+2.5-1

= -5+2.5

=-2.5

Value of expression

[-3.5] + |-2.5| - signum (3.3)= -2.5

Hope it helps you.
