since,the total no. of observation=6,which is even.let n=6
so,median=(n/2)th+(n+1/2)th/2
=3th+4th/2=9
=x+x+2=9
=2x+2=9
=2x=7
=x=7/2=3.5
so,3x+1=(3×3.5)+1
=10.5+1
=11.5
