Heya!!

2x + 3y = 18

Squaring both sides

( 2x + 3y )² = ( 18 )²

4x² + 9y² = 324 - 2 ( 6xy )

4x² + 9y² = 324 - 12 ( 5 )

4x² + 9y² = 264.

Answer:

264

Step By Step Explanation:

Given : 4x² + 9y²

This can be written as:

⇒ (2x)² + (3y)²

⇒ (2x + 3y)² - 12xy

⇒ (18)² - 12 × 5 [∵2x + 3y = 18 & xy = 5 ]

⇒ 324 - 60

⇒ 264

Hence, The value of 4x² + 9y² is 264.
