(√a+√b) ^2= a+2ab+b

a=5, b=2

(√5+√2)²= 5+2(5*2) +2

= 5+2(10) +2

= 5+20+2

= 27

(√a-√b) ^2= a-2ab+b

a=5, b=2

(√5-√2)²=5-2(5*2) +2

5-2(10) +2

=5-20+2

-14

(√5+√2)²–(√5-√2)²= 27-(-14) = 27+14=41
