Given: 542×14+16×542

To find The value of the above expression using the distributive property

Solution: In mathematics, a property by which we can solve any numerical in the form of x(y+z), this property is known as the distributive property. It is the property where the operations are binary and the operations are multiplication and addition.

According to distributive law, x(y+z)=x*y+x*z  [Boolean algebra]

We can do the same for the arithmetic numbers, for example, 5(6+7)=(5*6)+(5*7)

∴ 542×14+16×542

=542(14+16)  [taking 542 as common from both the terms]

=542×30  [using distributive property]

=16260

Hence the value of the expression using the distributive property is 16260.
