Given : √3 = 1.732 and √5 = 2.236

(i) We have 6/ (√5 - √3)

On Rationalising the denominator :

= 6 × (√5 + √3) /[(√5 - √3)

× (√5 + √3)]

= 6 × (√5 + √3) /√5² - √3²

[By Using Identity :  (a + b)(a – b) = a² - b²]

= 6 × (√5 + √3) /2

=  3 (√5 + √3)

= 3 (2.236 + 1.732)

[Given : √3 = 1.732 and √5 = 2.236]

= 3(3.968)

= 11.904

6/ (√5 - √3) = 11.904

Hence the value of 6/ (√5 - √3) is 11.904.
