= (3+√2)/(3-√2)
rationalising factor = 3+√2
= (3+√2)/(3-√2) × (3+√2)/(3+√2)
= (3+√2)²/(3²-√2²)
= (3²+√2²+2(3)(√2))/(9-2)
= (9+2+6√2)/7
= (11+6√2)/7
= 11/7 + 6√2/7 = a + b√2
=> a = 11/7
=> b = 6/7
