(√7–1)/(√7+1) - (√7+1)/(√7–1) = a + b√7

=> (√7–1)(√7–1)/(√7+1)(√7–1) - (√7+1)(√7+1)/(√7–1)(√7+1) = a+b√7

=> (7–2√7+1)/(7–1) - (7+2√7+1)/(7–1) = a+b√7

=> 2(4-√7)/6 - 2(4+√7)/6 = a+b√7

=> (4 -√7 -4 -√7)/3 = a + b√7

=> (-2/3)√7 = a+b√7

=> a = 0, b = -2/3.
