find the value of a and b if x2-4 is a factor ax4+2x3- 3x2+bx-4 and hence factorise completely

It's simple.
Put x=2, in the given expression and equate it with zero. you will get a relation between a &b.
Again put x=-2 and do the same.
Now you'll have two equations in a &b. just solve it..... And substitute a &b in the given expression and simply factorise it
