put x=1 in equation ax2-3(a-1)x-1

a(1)²-3(a-1)1-1

a(-3a+3)0

a=0

HEY BUDDY....HERE'S YOUR ANSWER....

p(x) = ax {}^{2}  - 3(a - 1)x - 1 = 0

a(1) {}^{2}  - 3(a - 1)1 - 1 = 0

a-3a+3-1=0

-2a+2=0

-2a=-2

a=1
