find the value of ,a so that A (3,a) lies on the line represented
by 2x - 3y = 5

hello friends....
here
the given equation of line is
2x-3y -5 = 0
and point (3,a) lies on the line

then
put the value of x. = 3 &y= a in equation

we get
6 - 3a -5 = 0
=> -3a= -1
=> a= 1/3 answer

x = 3 ,  y = a
2x - 3y = 5
2x - 3y - 5 = 0 

2*3 - 3a - 5 =0

6- 3a = 5

6 - 5 = 3a

1 = 3a

a = 1/3
