( 3 , a ) lies on 2x- 3y +5 = 0

therefore,

x=3

2x-3y + 5 = 0

6 - 3y + 5 = 0

3y = 11

y = 11/3 = a

Answer: a=11/3

Step-by-step explanation:

If (3,a) lies on the line then it should satisfy the line.

So

2(3)-3(a)+5=0

=> 6-3a+5=0

=> 11=3a

=> a=11/3
