AS g(X) = X - 1
g(X) = 9
Therefore, X - 1 = 0
X = 1

SUBSITUTE IN POLYNOMIAL
x power 6 - a x power 5 + x power 4 - a x power 3 + 3 x - 1 + 2 = 0
= (1)^6 - a(1)^5 + (1)^4 - a(1)^3 + 3(1) - 1 + 2 = 0
= 1 - a + 1 - a + 3 - 1 + 2 = 0
= 6 - 2a = 0
2a = 6
a = 3
