so , given that

 \frac{1}{ \alpha } \: and \: \alpha

are the zeroes of polynomial ax² + bx + c = 0.

now,

by the formula,

x + y = b \\

where x & y are zeroes of the given polynomial.

 \alpha + \frac{1}{ \alpha } = b

 \frac{ { \alpha }^{2} + 1 }{ \alpha } = \: b

x² - (sum of zeroes) + (product of zeroes)
