Step-by-step explanation:

As we have given the points (-1,b) ,(2,b) ,(-3,4) are collinear,

let us consider the points are,

A (-1, b)

B (2 , b)

C ( -3, 4)

points A,B,C are collinear, therefor the lines form by the points ,the line AB and line BC have equal slopes

Slope AB = Slope BC

(b - b) / ( 2 + 1) = (4 - b) / ( -3 - 2 )

0 / 3 = (4 - b) / ( -5)

0 = (4 - b) / (-5)

(-5) x (0)= ( 4 - b )

0 = 4 - b

-4 = - b

b = 4
