Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

as we know ,

    a = 16

    c = 17

    b = ?

since ,

Pythagoras theorem states that  a²  +  b² =  c²

   a² +  b²  =  c²

  (16)²  +  b² =  (17)²

  256  + b²  =  289

   b²  =  289 - 256

   b²  =  33

   b   =  √33

   b   =   5.7445
