Given :  y = 3 , x = 1 , x = c  and x axis

area of figure bounded by the curve  is 16/3

To Find :  Value of c

Solution:

Rectangle will be formed  

x axis  y = 0

y = 3

Hence height = 3 - 0  = 3

Width =  | c  - 1 |    

Area  = | c - 1|   * 3  = 16/3

=> | c - 1 |  = 16/9

=>    c -  1  = 16/9    or  c - 1  = -16/9

=> c = 25/9   or  -7/9

Value of c  are  25/9  or - 7/9
