P = V×I
I = P/V
The formula we will use to calculate the current drawn by an electric bulb of 40W when it is connected to a source of 220V is -
I = P/V
⇒ I = 40/220
⇒ I = 0.18 A
∴ The current drawn by an electric bulb of 40W when it is connected to a source of 220V is 0.18A.
