x2+7x-1=0

compared with genral formula is ax2+bx+c

a=1,b=7,c=-1

∆=b2-4ac

=(7)2-4(1)(-1)

=49+4

=53

the valu of determinant (∆) for given quadratic equation is 53 .

but 0<53 is a real and unequal.

Answer:

Comparing with a  {x}^{2} +bx+c=0

a=1,b=7,c= -1

∆=b^2-4ac

=(7)^2-4×1×(-1)

=49+4

=53

53<0

It is real and unequal.
