Answer :-

Given :-

  • Equation → 5x² + 6x + 11 = 0

To Find :-

  • Discriminant

Solution :-

We know that,

Discriminant = b² - 4ac

For the given equation :-

  • a = 5
  • b = 6
  • c = 11

→ D = 6² - 4 × 5 × 11

→ D = 36 - 20 × 11

→ D = 36 - 220

→ D = -184

Value of Discriminant = -184

Additional information :-

Nature of roots :-

1. If D > 0 then roots are real and different.

2. If D is a perfect square, then roots are rational and different.

3. If D = 0, then roots are real and equal

4. If D < 0 then, roots are imaginary and unequal or complex conjugate.
