x²+7x-1=0

Here,

a=1, b=7, c=-1

Discriminant (∆) = b²-4ac

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= (7)²-4×1×(-1)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 49+4

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀∆=53

\therefore∆=53

Answer:

Given

x {}^{2} + 7x - 1 = 0x

2

+7x−1=0

here , a= 1, b= 7 and c= -1

since

b {}^{2} - 4acb

2

−4ac

is the discriminant of quadratic equation

so 7^2 - 4×1×(-1) = 49+4 = 53.

hope it helps you
