Find the value of discrminant (2) 2y^2-5y+10=0

•D=b^2-4ac.

•D=(-5)^2-4(2)(10)

•D=25-80.

•D=-55.

•D<0.

•Thus the roots are imaginary.

We know that, D = b^2 - 4ac
Here, b = -5
a = 2
and c = 10
so, (5)^2 - 4 × 2 × 10
25 - 80
= - 55
