  • As per the data given in the question, we have to find the value of the expression.

       Given data:- x=2,y=4.

       To find:-Value of the given expression 2x-3y-4.

       Solution:-

  • To solve the above equation we will follow the BODMAS rule.
  • It is the rule used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.

        where,

          B= bracket

           O= order of power or rules

           D= division

           M= multiplication

           A= addition

           S= subtraction

           Where,

          Now put the value of x and y in above equation.

          2x-3y-4\\\Rightarrow 2(2)-3(4)-4\\\Rightarrow 4-12-4\\\Rightarrow -12.

          Hence we will get the value -12.
