SOLUTION :-

TO DETERMINE :-

The value of f (x+h)-f(x) , h ≠ 0 for the following function

1) f(x) = 3x + 4

EVALUATION :-

Here the given function is

 \sf{f(x) = 3x + 4} \:  \: ......(1)

Putting x + h is place of x in both sides of Equation (1) we get

 \sf{f(x + h) } \:

 =  \sf{ 3(x  + h)+ 4} \:

 =  \sf{ 3x  +3 h+ 4} \:

 \therefore \:  \:  \sf{f(x + h) =  3x  +3 h+ 4} \:

Therefore

\sf{f(x + h)  - f(x)} \:

\sf{=  (3x  +3 h+ 4) - (3x + 4)} \:

\sf{=  3x  +3 h+ 4- 3x  -  4} \:

  \sf{= 3h}

FINAL ANSWER :-

 \boxed{\sf{ \:  \: f(x + h)  - f(x)} \: = 3h \:  \:  }
