Find the value of f1 from the following data if it's mode is 65:
Class frequency
0-20 6
20-40 8
40-60 f1

Given : mode = 65

To find : The value of f1

Explanation:

here

maximum frequency is 12

thus lower limit = 60 and upper limit = 80

height -= 20

then

mode = l+ \frac{12-f_1}{2(12)-f_1-6}\times 20

65=60+ \frac{12-f_1}{2(12)-f_1-6}\times 20\\\\65-60= \frac{12-f_1}{2(12)-f_1-6}\times 20\\\\5=\frac{12-f_1}{18-f_1}\times 20\\\\1=\frac{12-f_1}{18-f_1}\times 4 \\\\\18-f_1 = 48-f_1\\\\4f_1-f_1=48-18\\\3f_1=30\\\\f_1=10

hence ,The value of missing frequency is 10
