(i) The value of the determinant will be :-

(3√6 x 2) - (5√3( -4√2))

= 6√6 +20√6

= 26√6

(ii) The value of the determinant will be :-

1.2 x (-0.23) - 0.03 x 0.57

= -0.276 - 0.0171

= -0.2931
